Don_LemmonOur Founder Ms. Collette Flanagan spent a week in Washington DC heading a delegation of 9 Mothers whose sons were killed by policemen from around the nation. The Delegation of Mothers spoke at a congressional hearing with White House Staff Committee Members, the Department of Justice, Representative Sheila Jackson-Lee, Representative Eddie Bernice Johnson, Congressman Joaquin Castro along with many, many others.  MAPB was covered on over 100 news stations, along with national and international television and news interviews, with CNN, MSNBC, TV ONE and Russia TV.

However, it seems Dallas News Outlets did not get the memo. Perhaps this was an attempt to keep Dallas communities that have been plagued with police shootings of unarmed Black and Latino men uninformed of this powerful delegation of Mothers advocating on their families’ behalf.  Since 2002, over 78 Unarmed and mentally ill persons have been shot and killed by Dallas policemen and to date, not one police officer have been indicted in 41 years for shooting and killing an unarmed person in Dallas, Texas.

Here is a list of interview links from the work MAPB completed while in Washington DC!
